Mentha cunninghamii-NZ Mint has bright green soft foliage that contrasts with it’s tiny white flowers. This plant is easily grown in sun or partial shade. The aromatic foliage can be used in cooking and has a minty herbaceous flavour. It is endemic to the North, South, Chatham and Stewart Islands so performs well in coastal to alpine climates. Mentha is a common component of grassland and other open places such as cliffs, river banks, lakesides, grey scrub and occasionally in swampy ground.
