Forms large weeping clumps. flower heads in early summer. Effective in landscaping & floral work. Hardy. North island but not usually north of Auckland. Found from the coast to sub-alpine area. Common alongside streams, lake margins, in damp spots within forest clearings, seepages and on hillsides. In the Central North Island often found bordering with forest
