Creeping plant with upturned yellow fuchsia flowers followed by red fruits. Good as groundcover & over walls. Best in semi-shade. Deciduous in cold areas. North Island from the Ninety Mile Beach south to Maunganui Bluff in the west and Kennedy Bay in the east. Strictly coastal on sandy, gravelly or rocky places. Often growing just above high tide & tolerating occasional salt water splash. MAT
